Ok, so after the morning exercise, my group got to eat our first meal of a american continental breakfast, survival style. Feeling Rather contented and happy, we headed off to our first activity of the day - Team Flag Match. And I can tell you, even if we won, and lost less than half of the matches, I was really not happy.
Hah, call ourselves gentleman with great sportsmanship. I beg to differ. The game was as rough as martial combat. Some even equipped themselves with their so called self-defense to intimidate their opponents. Unfair and unjust, our team went about the legal way, and still managed to grab a reasonable number of points from capturing the flags.
Suggestions? Plenty. Team Flag Match, the name originates from two teams, holding rifles/secondary weapons ready for real combat. What? Socks and scratching, definitely not a very good way for a game that requires fighting. At least, there should have been something like LaserTag. Nah, too expensive.
Anyway, after lunch, finally this mass activity ended, and we proceeded on to another stressful and vexing game. Honor At Stake. But despite all odds, we pwned it.
Table tennis: Won 5 games to 1.
Dodgeball: Lost by a small margin of 15 seconds.
Rugby: Best teamwork award, even though i feel apologetic to some of my teammates. Owned it, cuz all the 15 goals were scored by us.
Captain Frisbee: Won yet again, even though the frisbee, cut my finger, mainly becuz someone stepped on the frisbee, which in turn, crushed my finger. And I can once again say, my team is full of talents. Sec2s were confident and ready to catch the frisbee to throw again immediately. Sec1s were good defenders, not allowing the opponent to even get their hands on the frisbee. Sec3s were good with their throwing.
Hmm, I guess Frisbee is a nice sport and for the next squad outing, just play it whole day long.
Lastly, the day ended with a last major game called Kidnapped - not as major as it seemed. Initially I thought it was all teams challenging all teams, where 2 teams allied against the rest. But it ended up 2 teams given one location, and made as opponents. But heng.. got Jonas as our station master, at least he didn't random attack our wristbands.
Our locations were good- maybe? But for the defenders(Me and Marcus), our hiding locations were even better, did you all even noe about this secret low-top room, that has a small window peeking out on the grass outside. Located at Block A.
Never mind, lastly the DAY ended with an ultra-sound activity, hosted by Marcus Goh sir. Although he was Zi-Owning, he did make the show entertaining. So, the activity is called Show of Power, where each team comes up with a group war performance and cheer.
With much preparation and teamwork, our team managed to get our act together, finally emerging as champions. So just how did it happen? I-being known as the "dancer", danced my way, using my dance moves as force fields and attacks that instantly kill enemies at sight. But this wouldn't have happened if I didn't migrate from my mini-island of wankapore from URA, to city of annabelldom in Unit Camp. Haha!
Many other teams did also show their power, but no match for us. Close competitors such as Hero warriors, where each superhero did some random move but still got paralysed by this almighty RoboSpastic--something. So twine used as Spiderman's attack? Not bad... ..........
Lastly, at the middle of the night, a Secondary 3 Cadet-Leaders-To-Be activity was held. But I guess I shan't talk much about that. Dinner was cool, packet dinner again. And another meal cheer, lead by me and the other buddies. Lunch was cooler, Maggi Mee Goreng- Ultra Spicy flavor, without soup. Imagine my burning lips redhot, it will be seen as me being momentarily passionate and hot.
Now onto today's activities. Secondary 3 Kayaking LEAP. It's quite late so I shall just breeze through. Capsizing was really the main highlight of today's itinerary. Best was, with a skirt, that attached ourselves to the frame of the kayak so as to prevent water from entering our cockpit.
Rescue drills was horrible, but only because I was unable to master capsizing. After many rounds and rounds of practice, I finally got it, and proved my worth in front of the instructor. That whatever Eskimo rescue drill, which required momentum to flip myself over, from an overturned capsized position, and then grab onto the bile of another kayak, finally ending off with a small push to get myself back upright, really required skill and practice. And congratulate me, I finally did it.
So the day ended off, tired and sore, awaiting yet another tiring day of advanced drills, survival cooking, lamp lighting and topography. Sleeping soon, now's the time to mug, so make it worth. Ok, shan't say more, listen to the song below to summarise my mood today.!.
