Day 1
We all arrived in our school early in the morning, filled of excitement and adrenalin to await the upcoming energy-packed activities organised for us. After falling in, we put our bags in our night rooms and proceeded with the icebreakers. As always, my unit had a poor start and of course the icebreakers were a huge disaster. Not given ample time to design a complicated flag and the games weren’t that fun either, just original Wacko and Curtain-.something. we still managed to know each other.
So after knowing each other and the NCOs, as far as i can remember, we headed for the first game- Human Table Soccer. Copyrighted from The Showdown’s Human Foosball, we basically were confined to one zone only, where we depended on each other to pass, and the front people to score.
After a hard and long battle, my team drawed and got a 5-5 result. Not bad as a start, after that we went to the other part of the school, at the Kah Kee hall side, and then went pumping position down, while one person is to answer a few questions, and we managed to get full marks thanks to some well-versed buddy we had.
Then onto our second activity, hmm, cant really remember, but there was the Impossible challenge, in the afternoon, and the straw passing thing, we must use straws in our mouth to pass rubber bands from start to finish, and blind man’s trail, blindfolded on a obstacle course, and then OYA, second, obstacle venture, some really tough obstacles not blindfolded and got full marks too.
Lunch was good, we had some appetizing economical rice in a packet, and then after that, was the dizzy herethere. Span around 10 times, dizzy and kept walking off where i was supposed to walk to. But was fun man! There was also Human snakes and ladders, which was kinda screwed, one step saying (GO FORWARD ONE STEP) , the step in front was however saying ( Go BACKWARD ONE STEP).
A few more activities, ate dinner and bunked in for the night.
Day 2
Ok, we woke up. that was fine. morning jog. horrendous. a jog around the whole Namly Avenue, ok at first we thought it was ok, so we jogged as a squad. Halfway, some were tired, and soon the whole squad was dispersed. and the teacher officer was pestering us not to walk. After finally thinking we’ve finished the course and started to cool down, the officer wanted us to run again AS a SQUAD, so be it.
We were bloody tired after that, didn’t have much of an appetite left for breakfast. Bread and Jam, hmm, actually it was quite nice, i ate 3 pieces with loads of jam on top. Then we set off to finish up the last of the team-building games. So we played Arrange and 120-pullup challenge. The facilitators showing favouritism towards their own teams, ended up giving us little points. Arrange, the facilitator gave realy hard puzzles and we had to arrange ourselves according to the expectation and took us a lot of time to move, and they were very picky, one little step out of the line causes 1 mark gone.
Nvm about that, soon was Table Tennis, where we were winning throughout, until I was to challenge a (self-proclaimed noob) Pro and lost causing us to lose, as that match was what 15 points?!? Ok, i think i put too much grumbling opinions inside, now facts. Ok, then we moved on to basketball, then captain’s ball, and at last, my favourite Soccer.
After all the sports, we headed for the BBQ nite. It was a disaster, when our group’s BBQ pit caught fire, and took a long time to BBQ food items, ending up not eating much. However the performances were rewarding, our group didn’t do very well, but neither the others.
Day 3
Another morning jog took place, but this time, we managed to run as a squad. Then at last, the wet activities drew near. Our group did the slide climbing thing, where we had to climb up a hill, under the constant attacking of water and soap. Finally finishing first, we were all drenched to the very most.
Then at last, it was somehow freetime, and i played water pouring with my friends. Getting soaked, we were cold but we were happy. Jonas caught a fever though. Then it was end.
We were dismissed. Although my group didn’t win any top placings, the happiness it brought was enough
